Description

• 1795 represents the first year of the $5 denomination in U.S. coins! Only the $5 and $10 denominations were struck baring this year, making it an extremely popular but very difficult coin to find!

• Only 8,707 were struck! According to population figures less than 6% of the original mintage remains in any grade today!

• Even in 1795 this was a very popular coin and many people set them aside!
